Jewellery Trends 2026: Bold, Sculptural and Personal

Arwa Hassan –

As we look ahead to 2026, UK jewellery lovers are embracing bolder, more expressive styles. Personalised jewellery brand PRYA has analysed over 200 jewellery-related search terms in the UK between November 2024 and October 2025 to reveal what's rising, what's falling, and what's here to stay.

The verdict? Minimalism is fading, and jewellery with personality, presence and storytelling is on the rise. From sculptural shapes and mixed metals to colourful gemstones and chunky proportions, 2026 promises jewellery that makes a statement.

Gold Dominates, Silver and Mixed Metals Make a Comeback

Gold jewellery remains the UK’s most searched metal, with 33,100 average monthly searches, growing +22% in the last three months. But silver jewellery is seeing a resurgence (9,900 monthly searches, +22% short-term), reflecting SS26’s cooler-toned runway styling.

Mixed-metal jewellery is gaining momentum, particularly stacking rings (+55% short-term, +89% YoY), giving shoppers the freedom to mix and layer metals without rules. Rose gold continues to decline, while silver and mixed metals feel fresh, modern, and expressive.

“Consumers are moving away from rigid styling rules,” says Arwa Hassan, PRYA Style Director. “Silver and sculptural forms feel exciting again.”

Minimalism Makes Way for Statement Jewellery

Searches for minimalist gold jewellery dropped -40% in the last three months and -57% YoY, signalling a clear shift. People now want pieces that make an outfit, not fade into the background.

SS26 runways reflected this trend with heavy-chain chokers, bold metal cuffs, layered pendants, and sculptural silhouettes. Jewellery is becoming more personal, intentional, and expressive.

Chunky, Sculptural, and Art Deco Styles

Chunky jewellery is back in a big way:

  • Chunky chain necklaces: +22%
  • Chunky earrings: +22%
  • Chunky gold rings: +19%

Sculptural and Art Deco designs are also rising, offering timeless elegance with modern impact:

  • Sculptural jewellery: +320% (3 months), +200% YoY
  • Art Deco jewellery: +90% (3 months)
  • Heritage jewellery: +55% YoY

From Loewe’s sculptural collars to Chanel’s thick gold links, 2026 jewellery is all about bold shapes and craftsmanship.

Personalised Jewellery Remains Strong

Even as minimalism fades, meaningful jewellery continues to resonate. Searches for pendant, nameplate, birthstone, and locket necklaces remain strong. Shoppers are drawn to charms, initials, and layered keepsakes, keeping personal stories at the heart of jewellery.

Colourful Gemstones Make a Comeback

Neutrals may be declining, but colour is back. Popular searches include:

  • Opal jewellery: +128%
  • Black gemstone jewellery: +50%
  • Gemstone rings: +21%

SS26 runways highlighted jewel-toned palettes with sapphires, amethysts, lilacs, and deep greens. Gemstones are a key way to express individuality and emotion.

Stacking, Layering, and Bold Wristwear

Layered necklaces, stacked rings, and oversized cuffs continue to grow in popularity. Designers are embracing architectural bracelets and statement bangles, making the wrist a focal point for styling.

“All eyes are on the wrist next year,” says Arwa. “Bangles and cuffs are bigger, bolder, and more sculptural.”

6 Jewellery Directions Defining 2026

Based on search growth and runway trends, PRYA identifies six movements shaping the year ahead:

  1. Mixed Metals: Flexible, layered styling
  2. Chunky Proportions: Bold chains and rings
  3. Charms & Personal Storytelling: Layered keepsakes
  4. Stacking & Layering: Necklaces, rings, and earrings
  5. Sculptural & Deco Influences: Timeless yet modern craftsmanship
  6. Colour & Gemstones: Jewel tones for self-expression

“2026 will be defined by jewellery that feels personal, intentional, and crafted,” concludes Arwa.
